February flew by so fast!

I am so thankful for all of the families who joined us this month. The children are all getting along so well, and are forming friendships. They are looking out for one another,. and helping each other out. They are learning patience in sharing, and waiting their turn.

Our 2 science classes this month were in a cloud and all about magnets. Thank you Stacey Diaz from #philanthrolab for teaching us in such fun and engaging way.

Our sensory art for February was making Valentine's Day cards. The children decorated multiple hearts to give away to friends and family members.

For nature school we focused on the Oak Hammock ecosystem. The children learned how to spot various Oak trees, plants, and animals that call the Oak Hammock home. We also had a beach day, luckily the weather was picture perfect for a day in the sun and sand. The children found so many juvenile queen conchs!

Our three forest school locations are all buzzing with activities. The children have been coloring, crafting, and playing with clay. We have also been identifying trees, and plants at our basecamps. All of the children are using their imaginations with their play. They created an obstacle course, built forts, and campfire circles. The children are exploring our basecamps, and are asking questions or are drawing what they see. Knot skill were introduced the last week of the month and I am already impressed by how quickly they are learning.

I look forward to seeing you all this month. We have so much instore for you and your children. As always feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. Don't forget to follow us on instagram #midpinellaslearnplay.
